Sherlock Holmes, The Adventure of the Noble Bachelor
Sometimes I can’t help it and all the US vs. UK stuff in the Holmes fandom makes me laugh. Because, guys? Holmes totally shipped it.

Oh my…!!!!
Ok, this is probably just me being incredibly slow-witted, while everybody else has already realized it ages ago, but I’ve just noticed that that incredible geek of Mark Godtiss placed another sneaky canonical reference in The hounds of Baskerville!
Corporal Lyons, in fact, is a direct reference to Laura Lyons, daughter of Frankland and mistress of Stapleton in ACD’s The Hound of the Baskervilles!!!
Also, this is another case of gender-swapping in this episode (after Mortimer and Stapleton) - but this time from female to male!
How I love this show!
Indeed yes, they are tricksters.
And to think I’ve been calling him “Colonel Whatshisface” this whole time. Research fail.
